Patricia Lightner Ready to Defeat Stephene Moore
Says Moore will be "Automatic Vote" for Pelosi's Agenda

Olathe, Kan - Former State Rep. Patricia Lightner, Republican candidate for Congress in the 3rd District of Kansas, issued a statement reacting to the news that Stephene Moore, wife of retiring Congressman Dennis Moore, will be entering the race to replace her husband.

"Ten months ago, I entered this race to challenge Dennis Moore because his voting record was completely at odds with the 3rd District. The moderate blue-dog image was he was selling his constituents wasn't being matched by his votes for massive bailouts, the stimulus package, cap and trade, card check and government health care. It was time for someone to rise up and take him on directly, and I did so.

"Stephene Moore's entry into this race, coupled with the passage of ObamaCare, reaffirms my original purpose for entering this race - to change this seat from being held by someone who favors big government, higher taxes, and abortion-on-demand to someone who favors limited government, economic freedom, individual liberty, and a culture of life.

"This isn't a one or two issue election - everything is at stake - our health care, our economy, our liberty, and our freedom. Much like I was ready to challenge her husband last summer, I look forward to defeating Stephene Moore this November. I believe my record, my principles, and my background will provide voters a compelling choice versus the automatic vote Stephene Moore will supply for Nancy Pelosi's agenda.

"I will be an independent, conservative voice for the 3rd District - someone who listens, leads, and stands firm on my core principles. I invite the people of the 3rd District to join my campaign today."
